Sergeant Goodman

William Edward Goodman - Bill Goodman  This photograph would have been taken around the mid sixties, I believe. He’d not been a Sergeant long which is why he wanted his photo taken, I suppose. He was in our back garden at the time.

A few days into his new position a lorry shed a whole load of carrots in the city centre, I believe, and he was pictured in the Manchester Evening News standing by the tipped up truck next to the enormous pile of vegetables. Hilarious!
